•NALANDA:

•GAYA:
This is also a famous and important place to visit in Bihar. For all Hindu and Buddhist people,
this is a holy place for which people travel a long holy journey to visit this religious place or one
can say this is the pilgrimage centre for both the religions. This is the place where Buddha used
to sit under a tree and attain enlightenment. Other famous places a person can visit are
Bodhgaya, Mahabodhi Temple, Vishnupad Temple, Magla Gauri Shrine, Dungeshwari Cave
Temples, Barabar Caves, Bodhi Tree, Bodhgaya Archaeological Museum, Muchalinda Lake,
and Bhutan Monastery etc. These are the major tourist places one
can visit Gaya.
•VAISHALI:
This is the place where Jain Tirthankar Lord Mahavira was born. This is one of the major
archaeological sites where different Chinese travellers came and were also the capital city of
Licchavi rulers. The Ashoka Lion Pillar & Stuba is the major attraction for people to visit this
place. Other major places a person can visit are the Archaeological Survey of India
Museum, Relic Stupa or Choumukhi Mahadeva etc.
•Navlakha Palace, Rajnagar:
This is the place in Bihar which was built by Maharaja Rameshwar Singh. This Palace is
partially destroyed due to an earthquake but people visit this Palace to see the architectural
designs and brilliance of that time. One must see the beauty of this place. These are some of the famous places but there are a lot more beautiful and ancient places one can visit in Bihar. Some more places a person can visit like Munger, Rishikund, Munger Fort, Padri Ki Haveli or Sher Shah Suri Tomb etc.
